Deaf Women United (DWU) is a national organization in the United States that uplifts and empowers Deaf women through advocacy, education, and community-building. Since its establishment in 1993, DWU has worked to promote leadership, self-advocacy, and equality for Deaf women of all backgrounds.
A Platform for Deaf Women’s Leadership

DWU also supports the recognition and use of International Sign, especially when collaborating with Deaf women’s organizations globally. This inclusive approach fosters solidarity and cross-cultural learning.
